"Barbara" is a gorgeous, well bred, sweet smooth collie. She came to join our family from Byluc Collies. I am finally going to update this page,
I simply couldn't bear doing it before. Even now, I will not remove her from my Girls page. She should move to family, at very least, but I just can't do it yet. Barbie went back to live with her breeder to finish her championship. I was, and still am, devestated by this turn of events but with my feet and sleep problems, I simply could not keep up with her in the ring. I had promised Tasha that I would show her and simply couldn't just let her sit. So for now, Barbie is not here with me, where she belongs. It's a cruel twist of fate, and I miss her more than I can say.
Barbie really inspired me! One of my favorite things about her is her high functioning power of reason. I loved to watch her do things that she wants to do that require actual thought. She's not only a real riot, but quite impressive! Smooth Collies are truly are a thinking breed and Barbie takes it a notch above. I think she would figure out a way to get Timmy out of the well herself!
Our adventures included conformation, obedience training and joint birthday parties since we were both born on the same day!
Wish I could have been there this day! Barbara shown with her littermates in Orange Park. They were 8 months old and all the smooths were either pointed or finished already! At this time, all smooths are finished!
