Like Marcus' charm and sense of humor used to inspire me to write blogs about his mischevious adventures, Barbie's beauty seems to inspire me to sketch. I think she's one of the most beautiful dogs I've ever seen. I am not an artist, not by any means, not even close, and I'm so not trying to be! A quick purusal of the sketchs will make that statement quite unnecessary. Oddly enough, I've never drawn anything and never had a desire to draw anything and I'm not quite sure why I am wanting to draw something now. Barbie just makes me want to sketch stuff.

It started innocently enough while researching correct collie structure and canine movement. Being new to collies, I wanted to study as much as I could. After awhile I had tons of images in my head that I couldn't keep straight, so I decided to try to illustrate what I was reading. After that, I kept going and it just started to be fun.

I share these with you now because it's just so darn WEIRD that I'm drawing anything other than Snoopy doodles.
I give you - The Barbie phenomenon....
